Adaptec AIC-7902 RAID 1 ---- no devices?

Hey there!

I've encountered a huge problem. I'm currently installing a FSC Primergy Server with the AIC-7902 onboard an two 36GB SCSI Drives.
At first i installed gentoo without any problems on the first of the two drives.

Then i activated a RAID 1 in the Controllers bios, but now no devices are detected, no /dev/sdaX any more?! Even the Live CD won't find any drives.

The Controller itself is correctly recognized while booting, and lsmod says the module for it ist there.

Where can i find my drive???
