Is it a particular server you are connecting to that gives you this message, if so, check to make sure you have the latest version (usually not in portage but from the homepage), as older versions are not well liked by the ed2k servers.

I am behind a NAT, and I don't have the latest version of amule, because I find it crashes too quickly.

So there is nothing I can do against that?

Indeed, being behind a NAT (even if you have no way of poking holes in it) should only result in a lowid, not being blacklisted.

Just out of interest, what is the version of amule you are getting these results with?

Sorry for replying so late.

My version of amule is 1.1.0.

What's funny is that when I use amule 1.2.5 or 1.2.6 it often crashes, but I never get blacklisted!

I think thats your answer right there , its due to the fact that the older version behave in a way the servers dont like, hence the blacklsting.

Now all we need to find out is why the newer versions crash. do you get any output from these crashes?

Also, do you get any more information if you run it in a *term.
