Hello there, i'm typing this in behalf of a friend who's having trouble with his fresh install of Gentoo. Upon start up, he receives this errror which appears to repeat itself every 15 seconds or so: -
Code: |
MCE: The hardware reports a non fatal correctable incident occured on CPU0.
|
We've had a look at the forums, but there seems to be know definate answer to this problem, it seems to be a "kernel" bug more then a CPU error, can anyone suggest anything to make this go away?
Thanks. |

Have you run memtest? And some kind of CPU stressing program? Is the CPU or other parts of the computer overclocked? That seems to be some kind of early warning for hardware faults. Probably worth looking into...

The CPU is not overclocked.
Has anyone got any suggestions to eradicate this error? |
