|
|
After installation of gentoo that for my feeling went good i receive the following things after boot.
Step 4 : determining root device
root block device unspecified or not detected
please specify a device to boot or "shell" for a shell
When i type /dev/hda11
i get the following information.
Stap:6
VFS: Cannot open root device "30b" or hda11
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root FS on hda11
My partitions the first 8 are windows partitions:
/dev/hda9 = boot
/dev/hda10 = swap
/dev/hda11 = root
My lilo.conf
boot=/dev/hda
prompt
timeout=50
default=gentoo
image=/boot/kernel-2.6.3-gentoo-r1
label=gentoo
read-only
root=/dev/hda11
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.6.3-gentoo-r1
other=/dev/hda1
label=windows _________________ Cant't Live Without Gentoo |
