which wireless card to get?

i know that this has been discussed more than once but i just wanted to ask if there is a wireless-guru around that can give me recommendation on what pcmcia card to buy.

are there any (good) supported 802.11g cards or should i stick with 802.11b?

oh, and now we're talking about it, any tips on an access point too?

ok, i'll stick with a nice linksys ap and a netgear wg511. should work ok from what i've read
