|
|
Hello,
I have this strange problem with my laptop (HP pavilion ze4455ea) that when I suspend to ram everything is ok (can see that in the logs afterwards, powerlight slowly goes on and off,...) but when I press the powerbutton again to resume from suspend the laptop switches of completely instead of resuming. When I press the powerbutton again after the complete shutdown, the laptop boots up as in a cold boot...
Is this a known issue? Can it be a bios/firmware problem?
Thanks,
Trogie |

Maybe you're supposed to hit a key on the keyboard to resume? _________________ Nothing can stop me now, cuz I just don't care. |

well, i have a compaq presario r3000, and when i suspen it seems ok too, but when i press a button to resume, it seems like it starts resuming but then the system hangs.
from there i can only hard power off the laptop, which is not really nice.
anyone knows what could be the problem?
i tried unloading all modules in single mode, and still the same results. |

Not knowing anything about the laptop. Is it the video card?
Untill recently my laptop hung partway through resume because the Radeon M9 does not reinitialise.
Now S3 works fine but i cannot shutdown/reboot if I have previously entered S3 (sooo close damn) |
