I'm trying to make winamp 5 to work whit wine, i got it that far i can play audio but the visual stuff is #$%
Here are my wine settings for winamp.
Code: | ;; Winamp
[AppDefaults\\winamp.exe\\DllOverrides]
"*" = "builtin, native, so"
"comctl32" = "native"
"riched20" = "native"
"wininet" = "native, builtin"
"comdlg32" = "native, builtin"
"commctrl" = "native, builtin"
"ddraw" = "builtin, native"
"dinput" = "builtin, native"
"dsound" = "builtin, native"
"opengl32" = "builtin, native"
"msvcrt" = "native, builtin"
"PXSDKPLS" = "builtin"
;; Winamp
[AppDefaults\\winamp.exe\\Version]
"Windows" = "win98"
|
However, this has few major bugs following it is extreamly slow on startup and as i said above the visual affect is fscked up, it also somethimes does't start at all. I'm open for suggenstions how to fix it, since it is able to run. I'm using wine 20040309
I also get this error, not sure how to fix it.
Code: | ERROR: You need to merge the 'winedefault.reg' file into your
Wine registry by running: `regedit winedefault.reg'
ERROR: You need to merge the 'winedefault.reg' file into your
Wine registry by running: `regedit winedefault.reg'

I have one question. Why are you trying to run Winamp in Wine when XMMS is almost an exact replica but is native to Linux? |

Winamp 5 has a lot more stuff than xmms like a media library, support for videos, that winamp tv thing, and much better skins. |
