I came home to find my processor (Athlon 2100+ XP) running at 100%, and half of my 512 megs of memory being used. My computer was very slow!
When running Gnome (with System Monitor), how can I tell which process is at fault?

Personally I like kpm, just click on the process and press kill to kill it if you want. If this doesn't work then from a command line type "kill -9 <processid>" with processid being the process id obviously, this will force it to close. |
