Btw., people tend to call it Gentoo.

when in gentoo, u can use this as an install manual:

links2 http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook.xml?part=1

or either

lynx http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook.xml?part=1

links2 is the one that worked for me, i had actually printed it out, but that will work also. Later

The documentation is, in fact, the reason I'm still using Gentoo. Well, that and this here forum. All the help you need is right at your fingertips.

The LiveCD installation is nice because you can have full (text mode) web browsing while you install. You can, also, run more than one console at the same time. When you boot up the LiveCD, log in. You can, then, hit Alt-F2 (actually, Alt-F2 through -F5) and it'll pull up another login screen. Switch back with Alt-F1. This'll let you browse the documentation on the web with links2 or lynx, and do the install on the other console. Pretty sweet, huh?

If you have any more problems, all you have to do is search the forums here, and 90% of the time, somebody has already asked the question you have. When all else fails, just ask.
