where is gentoo used?

I have 8 Gentoo servers (and there are a lot more to come!) in productions. Mostly serving some small firms (up to 50 users) for internet conectivity, DNS, dhcp, web, mail, ftp, sql, filesharing, print servers, firewall...
And of course: my desktop PC at home

200 node (50 box x 4 blade x 2.0GHz Xeon) Beowulf cluster for intensive environmental modelling (e.g. pollution studies, forest carbon stocks). Built up like this (bootstrap & system):

1. Hand-install 5 boxes
   
2. Start distccd on those 5
   
3. Build 10 more boxes using the previous 5, then install distccd on those also
   
4. Let the remaining boxes rip through the install

As they were identical boxes, we could have just mirror-copied the disks, but we were curious .

Bottom line was 3.5 hours, 2 hours of which was getting the first 5 going. Hilarity.
