i been using gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.3-r1 for a while now (i run stable)
but it just dont seem like the best one to use, no idea why, i just got that feeling. what im wondering is, whats the BEST kernel to use. i know everyones opinion is different but i figured most of you can agree on one. i do pretty much everything as this is my only os that gets used. i play games, do theming, run a small website with apache, surf the web, and sometimes do graphics and animations. any help would be appreciated. |

I used to run gentoo-dev-sources which I really liked. Lately I've switched to ck-sources, there's a 2.6 version out now. So far its been very stable for me and responsive. Only thing I can recommend is that you try them out for yourself and see which gives you all of the things you want. _________________ Mark Loeser

I've been using dev-sources since 2.6.3 first came out, and I don't feel any need to change kernels. I haven't tried mm-2.6 or love-2.6, but I have heard great things about those as well.
Try em out, see which one you like best. _________________ Gentoo...it's like wiping your ass with silk. Or sandpaper. |

I use the vanilla kernel from kernel.org.
It was the only kernel I could use for my Sata (I didn't got the other one's working). didn't had the chance to test it ou yet.

The gentoo-sources are a good all-around kernel. However, as I said before, I love the 2.6 kernel _________________ Gentoo...it's like wiping your ass with silk. Or sandpaper. |
