I emerged user mode linux, set up the configuration using "make menuconfig ARCH=um" and built using "make linux ARCH=um" but got compilation error. I also tried "make all ARCH=um" and make -j2.
All stopped with compilation error.
I tried making UML with the version that runs on my machine (2.6.1-mm4), and got a compilation error - but not the same one.
What to do ? |

I also had compilation errors with a 2.6 kernel.
In the end, I settled for a 2.4.22 UML kernel running on a 2.6.1 host, and it works OK.
As far as I can see, the 'skas' patch is for a 2.4 host, so I can't install that, but other than that it runs fine. |
