I'm using dvdauthor-0.6.9 and when i try to run spumux to multiplex subtitles into the main .VOB, i get this error

Every possible nls_* is compiled into the kernel as a module. Manually modprobing nls_iso8859-1 doesn't solve anything (i.e. it does load, but spumux segfaults again)... What can I do?

Can you run it in gdb? The backtrace might be useful in figuring out what went wrong.

I also use DVDAuthor 0.6.9 and I have a problem that looks a little bit similar to yours

looks like a problem of libiconv,
has anyone used dvdauthor with this spumux tool?

I have dvdauthor 0.5.0 installed and i'm running a script to create a dvd from an avi file. My problem is that the spumux command is not being seen at all. i'm getting...
./mkdvd02.sh: line 277: spumux: command not found
dvdauthor: invalid option -- x
ERR: getopt returned bad code 63
Does dvdauthor 0.5.0 come with spumux? I have tried all the usual "which spumux" and i have also tried unmerging and re-emerging.
Any help greatfuly received as always
