Mplayer gui corruption [SOLVED!]

Anyone experience this problem before?

I've tried messing with all sorts of drivers, use flags, re-emerged.. When I start mplayer up the GUI appears fine, but when I try to move it it goes nuts!

I'm using Mplayer v1.0_pre3-r5.

SOLVED

I had been messing around with KDE windowsettings, trying to get mplayer to default to 'stay on top'. Apparently one of these settings (don't know which one) caused the GUI to go haywire! KDE remembered this between emerges, which is why they had absolutely no effect. Hopefully this helps someone out, it was a pain to track down!
