|
|
So, how do I get rid of older kde version after I've installed the newer one? I found that Kde-uninstall thread with some perl script but I was wondering if uninstalling would be easier since I only want to remove the old one. If it matters, I've changed from 3.1.5 to 3.2.1.
I'd also like to get more free space. Are there temporary portage files or other temporary files I could remove? Where does portage save all files it downloads? |

Code: |
emerge gentoolkit
qpkg -I -nc -v |grep kde |grep 3.2.0 |xargs emerge -C
|
if it says:
Quote: |
emerge unmerge can only be used with specific package names, not with world or
system targets.
|
then you dont have kde-3.2.0 installed and emerge already removed it for you when you installed kde-3.2.1 _________________ Encrypt, lock up everything and duct tape the rest |
