Where can I find information about installing printers ?

I just got a Canon BJC-210ET from a friend, but i never installed a printer on (Gentoo) Linux. Actually, i never installed new hardware on Linux.

Where can I find information about installing printers ?
I tried the Linux Documentation Project but the Printing Howto is +2 years old.

Possibly the Gentoo Printing HOWTO (linked from the Gentoo homepage) might help?

www.linuxprinting.org is also an excellent resource and the place to get a driver for your new printer.
