today my sound stopped working, all i hear is this annoying noise, like with a radio where you don't get a channel. even when i stop alsasound, this goes on. only if i, e.g. play a mp3, the noise stops. starting alsasound again, the noise is back. but no other sound.
what could that possibly be?
alsa is compiled into the kernel, don't know if/what information is important as well.
