After completing the installation, I have the following problems after booting-
this error message appears
fsck.xfs:not found
Error 2 while executing fsck.xfs /dev/ROOT
fsck No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/BOOT
/dev/BOOT
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem
after this I am prompted with the option to manual fix the problem as root, or continue with the boot, I chose to continue the load and appear to have problems with the modules
...
bringing eth0 up
no such device
then about 20 messages appear in the general form
modprobe: can't locate module * which is needed for *
I assumed there was a driver problem for the ethernet card (which is a 3com type), but was unable to load the drivers
I completed a stage3 install using a minimal liveCD, my network functioned properly during the instal process, but ceases to work now.
any help on the problems is greatly appreciated. |
