I have successfull install maya 5.0
Code: | rpm -ivh --nodeps --force AWCOMMOM
rpm -ivh --nodeps --force MAYA |
(installed it as root)
When I run maya as root, the program start just fine, but when I run it as user I get this error:
Code: |
Maya could not created the necessarry startup directories.
Please check for sufficient disk space and necessarry write permissions. |
I know that it's not the disk space, which directories could I chmod? |

Just an idea (I'm still a noob):
- have you set the permissions for the maya installation directory correctly?
- are the permissions of your home directory set correct? |

I have tried with chmod 775 /usr/aw/ -R (the user tried to start maya is also member of root group)

drwxr-xr-x |
