|
|
My eventual goal is to get X running, but first things first, i had to add support for my on-board gigabit lan, which i found out how to do, but when i try to compile:
"Clock Skew Detected. Your build may not be complete"
thats the understatement of the year.
i tried checking my BIOS clock, resetting my timezone in linux, nothing has worked.
can anyone help me out?
-using kernel version 2.6.5-
-edit- ive noticed now that even when i enter "make menuconfig" i get the clock skew warning _________________ Athlon 64 3200+

After you set your clock to be the right time, go ahead and use touch (man touch) to set the times on the files to be the current time. That will force the files to be created, modified, etc, right now, and not a half century in the future. You might have to write a small script to list the files recursively, as I'm not finding anything of use right now. SHouldn't be hard though, if you run into problems post again.
Also, if you want to keep your clock correct, check out NTP. There's a really good howto in the forums, just search for it.
hope this helps!
