Allright I use df -h to check my disk space and it says this..
Code: |
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part3
9.7G 1.9G 7.3G 21% /
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
99M 11M 84M 12% /boot
none 110M 0 110M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hda2 100G 146M 95G 1% /mnt/data
|
And my fstab is this..
Code: |
LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda2 /mnt/data ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,ro 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom1 udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,ro 0 0
/dev/floppy/0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,users 0 0
|
I know this is being nit picky but it kinda bothers..
I think this is because I used the anaconda gentoo installer.. because my fedora fstab looked strangely similar.
And yes I do realize this is being VERY nit picky but I have OCD and this stuff bugs me lol.. |

So, are you talking about how du shows the long-style device name, as opposed to the mount point? _________________ s/(?<!gnu\/)linux(?! kernel)/GNU\/Linux/gi
Don't blame me. I didn't vote for him.

How about `df -Ph`... `man df` for more possible options... |

Well Im more curious as to why some have /dev/hda2 for the placement but others have the really long ones like /dev/ide/etc/etc... |
