I'm trying to get my tv card to work under gentoo.
It works under windows but i dont know how to determine the tuner type for my card (Terratec TVValue Radio)
bttv is modprobed automatic
but if i modprobe tuner
dmesg says:
tuner: tuner type not set

The tuner module gets loaded automatically for me when bttv is loaded. According to /usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/bttv/CARDLIST the Terratec TValueRadio is card 66. Try adding a line Code: | add options bttv card=66 |
to /etc/modules.d/aliases and then run modules-update and modprobe bttv. _________________ Please read our FAQ Forum, it answers many of your questions.
