I am not entirely sure how many errors are normal when viewing an interface via the /sbin/ifconfig command. Can someone help with this.

Here is how mine looks.

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:5A:19:76:21
inet addr:24.217.xxx.xxx Bcast:255.255.255.255 Mask:255.255.240.0
inet6 addr: fe80::210:5aff:fe19:7621/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:25704168 errors:64 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:67
TX packets:6377945 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:3323055128 (3169.1 Mb) TX bytes:480946325 (458.6 Mb)
Interrupt:5 Base address:0xd800

64 Errors out of 25,704,168 RX Packets doesnt seem like an awful lot, and considering none are in the dropped reading, that looks good. Frame, I am not sure of.

Anyone help here. I just want to make sure nothing is on my horizon.

This could be as simple as you receiving a call on your cell-phone when nearby your cat5 line...

Depends what kind of network you are on. Just looks like TCP and or flow control doing it's job.

Seeing how your IP is registered to charter and charter is mainly cable I would say it's normal since many computers share the same line you are going to get collisions.
