I'm currently reinstalling my box ( getting rid of a useless partition ... )
and when I do my first emerge sync, I get, at the end : | Code: |

Does that mean that emerge sync is currently borked ?
Are you doing a stage 1 install ?
NB : That's not my first gentoo install ...

yes i'm doing a stage 1 install
it's not my first install either, my 4th now, last one was yesterday, it hung completely when installing k3b rebooted end it couldn't find some strange files anymore, couldn't startx couldn't emerge... so i restarted installing, with this as result 
i suppose something is wrong with emerge sync |
