Ich habe grade eine DVD gerippt, kann sie jetzt aber nicht Transcodieren. In der Log steht:

Die Aufrufparameter etc. wären von Interesse. So kann man nichts dazu sagen.

| k/A worans liegen könnte bei dir aber bei mir hatt ich demletzt n problem mit den rechten beim transcodieren von ner mpeg2 vom satelliten...mit ner ähnlichen fehlermeldung. habs mit su als root ausgeführt und es ging und dann mit chown den besitzer geändert |

Es sieht ganz danach aus wie wenn das DVD Device im Programm nicht richtig konfiguriert ist.
Schau Dir nochmal die Preferences im DVDrip an (mit ctrl+p für klickfaule) und überprüfe ob wirklich alles passt.

| Ich kann den Fehler reproduzieren, und zwar wenn ich xvid4 als codec verwende. Bei Divx5 passierts kein Fehler. |

| also, ich hab das jetzt mit beiden divx codecs und den xvids probiert, es klappt aber nur mit ffmpeg und als vcd kann ich es auch transcodieren. ich krieg bloß nicht raus, woran das liegt. ist ffmpeg auch gut als codec? |

ffmpeg ist zumindest schneller als alle anderen.
was die qualität angeht, liegt das wohl meist im auge des betrachters. Ich sehe zuwischen den ganze codecs jedenfalls keinen unterschied.

That's Ok. The corresponding messages are printed by libdvdread if you transcode files on harddisk (which is the default case with dvd::rip). You see something like this:
libdvdread: Couldn't find device name.
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
but these are only (very confusing) warning messages of libdvdread, which naturally can't find any DVD device or VIDEO_TS.IFO file if started from a directory with only VOB files in it. Just ignore these messages, and please don't report this as a bug.

Wie hast Du denn divx5 installiert. Ich habe von hier http://labs.divx.com/DivXLinuxCodec mit ./install.sh installiert, aber divx5 funktioniert nicht. Ich habe /usr/local/include/divx nach /usr/lib verlinkt. Gleichfalls /usr/local/lib libdivx.so libdivx.so.0. |
