My co-worker and I both just recently got new Dell 8600 Laptops. We are dual booting Windows XP & Gentoo 2.4.25. When running Windows XP the total physical memory is at 1.5 GB, but under KDE's Info Center it is only showing 880 MB. Is this because it is subtracting what the kernel is using from the total physcial memory? If not please let me know what you think.
