I have a problem with my pc. It's working fine and then it starts to behave wierd like it vombines all my virtual desktopts into one and my mouse ponter acts like it has it's own mind (not doing the movements i make with my mouse). I cant do anything about that. It happend 4 times allready. The last time it happend my pc forze - not responding at all.
When i restart the hard way the system acts normaly and i eaven can't find anything in /var/log that would explain what was going on.

My comp:
Amd 2.6 GHz, 512 333MHz DDR RAM, Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard, WD 160GB SATA (windows and backup disk), Maxtor SATA 80GB (linux - gentoo disk, Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT 256MB DDR RAM, Game Theater XP 7.1 sound card ...
My gentoo:
gentoo-dev kernel 2.6.3, ati-drivers 3.7.6, reiserfs on all linux partitions but my /boot partition , wich is ext2.

Help would be apriciated.

There's a known problem with one of the mouse? usb? drivers that makes your mouse going crazy from time to time, clicking all over the desktop and so... waiting a couple of seconds always helped me in case it occured. Maybe it's the same for you...

There's more than one possible solution.
