|
|
This is my first time installing Gentoo.
After succesfully compiled and configure everything, I accidentally miss to unmount my disk:
11.b. Reboot and Enjoy
# umount /mnt/gentoo/boot /mnt/gentoo/proc /mnt/gentoo
With the command (exit, reboot) i can get my gentoo running.
My problem is, everytime I do reboot the system, the system keep on asking to check root file system error (FSCK is required), even after I manually run FSCK on the root file system (ext3).
Can I fix this? |

Down below is my /etc/fstab, I did follow almost everything from handbook. Thanks for prompt response.
---------------------------------------------
# <fs> <mountpoint> <type> <opts> <dump/pass>
/dev/hda1 /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 2
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hda3 / ext3 notime 0 1
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto 0 0
# NOTE: The next line is critical for boot!
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0 |

I would try changing the line:
/dev/hda3 / ext3 notime 0 1
to:
/dev/hda3 / ext3 notime 0 0
Then, reboot the system (it shouldn't fsck), change the line back, and reboot again. |

Yes, it skipped the check.
But why the default check suppose to fail, even after I did recheck several time? |
