|
|
Hi to all,
This is my problem:
after putting kernel 2.4.18 on my machine, it appears that everything goes OK with the sound (I have a Creative Sound card and the system recongized it and installed the EMU10K1): when I'm testing the card I can hear very clear those 2 short musical themes.
But, when I try to play some audio-CD or, some mp3's with no matter what player (xmms, ...) nothing - but NOTHING happens; I mean I press the "Play" button and nothing moves in there, no sound emerges from the loudspeakers.
Can someone help me with this ?
Thank you,
Bobo |

Maybe you need an xmms plug-in? I am using a 2.6 kernel and alsa compiled in. In xmms I am using the OSS Driver 1.2.10 [libOSS.so] as my Output Plugin. If you change this setting it may solve your problem. _________________ The specs on the box said windows 98 or better, so I installed gentoo. |

You should at least try the oss, alsa and arts plugins. I'm using the arts plugin and everything is fine. |
