|
|
I just installed gentoo from scratch on my laptop (thanks to distcc on my 3ghz desktop, took about half a day )
I decided to do a base install with xorg-x11.
I got everything to work, but when I first emerged xorg and tried to start x, it complained about not being able to find some xaw3d libraries.
I just emerged xaw3d and everything worked fine.
Is there a dependancy not being satisfied here, or am I the only one who got this error?
P.S. I do still get that extremely annoying yet harmless XKB startup error on gnome that everybody else seems to be getting. |

I had the same problem. emerged Xaw3d and then everything worked perfectly after that. I believe it needs to be added to the ebuild. |
