Framebuffer drawbacks?

In the How-To thread: it has:

Drawbacks

* Slow scrolling of text output on VTs
* Reduced or zero scroll back buffer

I was thinking about installing it, but can it really not scroll back??
When I use the console, I find it is prety important that I can scroll back! Is there no way to tweak it so that you can, otherwise I probably won't even try it out...

When I've used it, there was always some scrollback buffer... you could try it and see if it gives you enough.

My experience is that framebuffered console gives about the same scrollback than the plain one. I have not counted lines, but the amount of scrollback seems to be the same.

you can add 'video=scrollback:128K' to your
grub kernel line to set the scrollback buffer
size.
