In the How-To thread: it has:
Drawbacks
* Slow scrolling of text output on VTs
* Reduced or zero scroll back buffer
I was thinking about installing it, but can it really not scroll back??
When I use the console, I find it is prety important that I can scroll back! Is there no way to tweak it so that you can, otherwise I probably won't even try it out... |

When I've used it, there was always some scrollback buffer... you could try it and see if it gives you enough. |

My experience is that framebuffered console gives about the same scrollback than the plain one. I have not counted lines, but the amount of scrollback seems to be the same. |

you can add 'video=scrollback:128K' to your
grub kernel line to set the scrollback buffer
size. |
