I have 2 HardDiaks. The first one (/dev/hda) is formatted with NTFS running Win2000. The second on is with Gentoo.
When I tried to install Grub I got a message telling me :
grub> root (hd1,0)
unknown partion type 0x07
grub> setup (hd1)
unknown partion type 0x07
Does that mean I can't install Grub on the MBR of my first HardDrive? Can Grub be install on the MBR of a disk with NTFS?
Thanks. |

You are trying to use the primary slave drive with hd1. if you want to install it on your primary master use hd0. Also is you gentoo HD on the secondary ide controler. _________________ Java, the 3rd coming of Cobol
