When emerging k3b and a LOT of dependencies I got:

* Regenerating GNU info directory index...
* Processed 282 info files: 1 errors; run with emerge --verbose to view errors.

when all the compiling was completed.

I tried running just "emerge --verbose" but I'm told to "emerge: please tell me what to do."...I guess I need to choose a package too??

k3b is the last package to emerge in the chain of dependencies, is this an error message for k3b or could it be any package in the chain??

how do I find out what went wrong?

once the package has been emerged it will only re-emerge that package and none of the dependencies. So I guess you could un merge that package and then emerge --depclean and then emerge --verbose should work
