Hi everyone
How do I make encryption of partitions/files possible...
I'm seeking something that can encrypt large files with something like an RC5 algorithm or maybe 3DES, blowfish or something safe encryption like that!
And how do I most easily implement this (until Reiser4 arrives) into my gentoo box?
Thanks |

I think, what you are looking for is cryptoloop.
I've never used it myself, but there are tons of how-to's when you google for cryptoloop. |

What about CFS and TCFS?
Seems difficult to set up, but is it? And is it worth all the trouble? |

For file encryption a better search through the portage tree I found:
aes-crypt
bcrypt
so now the question is, how safe is blowfish and how safe is aes? and what about performance?
Thanks |

If you run the 2.6 kernel tree, have a look into dm-crypt! |

dm-crypt seemes nice - but I guess it needs some time to become stable
And what about the tools needed? They are not in portage or have I missed them too?
Thanks |
