Nautilus doesn't start AMD64 Gnome2.6

I installed Gnome2.6 yesterday (Athlon64) and now Nautilus refuses to start ... I found entries in .xssessionerrors that there is no Theme engine for foo-theme. I deleted all Gnome-related files and directorys in my homedir but it doesn't help ... Any suggestions? Please help

A friend of mine also had some difficulties with nautilus 2.6 on amd64. Maybe his thread will help you out.
