|
|
I have a weird problem with nano. Since a couple of days, when I start nano (with or without the -w option) nano gets out of control. What happens is: at first the normal edit screen opens, but in the top line, an extra message Code: | edit_refresh(): edittop->lineno = 1 | appears. After that, another message like Code: | get_accepted_kbinput(): kbinput = 25, meta_key = 0 | repeatedly appears when I scroll page up or page down. However, when I scroll with arrow down it really gets worse: my screen font gets corrupted. I see odd messages ending in "...AHA!". Then, when I exit with Ctrl+X, it yells at me like this: Code: | parse_rcfile(): Read a comment (--- repeated many times ---)
Main: set up windows
delete_node(): free'd a node, YAY! (--- repeated many times ---) | It happens both in the console and within a KDE terminal screen.
Does anybody have a clue what to do?

Thx polle but no, it doesn't help. From 1.3.2 I first downgraded to 1.3.1, then to 1.2.3 but all the same, the latter even looked slightly worse... I'm going to check bugzilla now. |

Ok but I reverte to a lower version of nano, , but I see that that version isn't in portage anymore (just checked)
I can't give you the actually version I use, because I'm at my work now (and that's a windoze environment) |

It seems to be solved by re-emerging nano with the DEBUG USE flag off. |
