Ciao a tutti.
Ho scaricato lo stage1 di gentoo , distro che voglio installare stando sulla mia slackware 9.1, e durante l'installazione ho un problema con rsync.
Quando faccio "chroot /mnt/gentoo" ecc.. e lancio i vari script che usano rsync, oppure rsync stesso, beh quest'ultimo non funziona.
Per esempio se faccio un :
# rsync rsync://rsync3.it.gentoo.org/gentoo-sources
Mi da questo errore:
rsync: getaddrinfo: rsync3.it.gentoo.org 873: Temporary failure in name resolution
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c( 88 )
Mentre se eseguo rsync normalmente dalla mia slack 9.1, tutto funziona come deve funzionare, infatti l'output di quel comando è questo:

Come mai rsync di gentoo non mi funzia??? 
P.S. Premetto che potrei installare lo stesso la distro dato che ho il cd-live, ma mi piace capire le cose.

Hai settato il DNS nel file /etc/resolv.conf?
