Hallo,
wenn ich im Kernel smb als network FS einkompiliert habe, kann ich dann mit dem Befehl "mount" Windows Shares mounten?
Wenn ich es versuche mit:
mount -t smbfs -o username=zzz,password=yyyy //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/d$ /mnt/
bekomme ich folgenden Fehler:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/d$,
or too many mounted file systems
Muß ich extra noch Samba installieren? Bzw. was muß ich installieren, daß ich das FS mounten kann? |

Moin, du solltest auf jeden Fall ein
machen, da man IMHO nur dann mit einem Windows Rechner kommunizieren kann. Ich denke bei den Kerneleinstellungen geht es eher um den SMB auf dem eigenen System.
Ich kann mich aber auch täuschen. |

| Das war eigentlich genau das, was ich nicht wollte. Ich hatte gehofft, daß ich um die Installation von Samba herum komme. Zumal in der man Page von mount nicht steht, daß man samba installieren muß, um über mount Windows Shares zu mounten. Ich will ja auch keinen File Server oder ähnliches bauen. |

hi,
tja, aus man smbmount (teil der samba-suite):

smbmount mounts a Linux SMB filesystem. It is usually
invoked as mount.smbfs by the mount(8) command when using
the "-t smbfs" option. This command only works in Linux,
and the kernel must support the smbfs filesystem.
