| Just downloaded the universal installer for Gentoo 2004. When the system boots up the CD does boot and then when it gets to the screen where the Gentoo logo is displayed and the status bar underneath it - the system hangs and I can go no further. I already have W2K on this machine but that shouldn't matter - or should it?? Why can I not install from the disk?? Please help!!!!! Thanks in advance |

I suggest you to press F2 when you see the main logo to have a verbose output of the boot and report where it hangs.
