I have two questions concerning Anjuta... I'm a n00b-dev-wannabe, so I emerged Anjuta. After searching and solving the lib dependency issues, now I have two questions that seem to pop up if I run the new app wizard.

1. Anjuta says:
Making ./aclocal.m4 writable...
Running libtoolize...
You should add the contents of '/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to 'aclocal.m4'
Running aclocal -I macros -I m4 ...
aclocal: Couldn't open directory 'm4': No such file or directory.
./autogen.sh line 234: ./configure: no such file or directory.
**Error**: aclocal failed. Please fix the warnings.

...uhh... what is aclocal.m4 and how do I fix that?

2. Anjuta also complains that the "cvs" command is missing. I know what cvs is, but I don't know what to emerge to make the cvs command available as there's about two bazillion different cvs packages out there.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

You can simply do an emerge cvs . this is the basic package you need.

as for the m4 stuff, this is used tu auto-generate your makefiles. I usually create my own makefile as this allows greater control of everything. I use kdevelop as my IDE, you can make a "custom project" with it so it uses your makefiles.

good luck !

which version of anjuta are you running?
1.22 is the most current.
also do a
pkg-config --list-all
and see if it errors anywhere.
creating your own makefiles kind of sucks when you are learning

I have Anjuta 1.2.1... I know about the new version, but was waiting for it to get into Portage. I sync'd pretty early this morning, I will try again tomorrow.
