When i create a directory as root in the / directory it disappears upon reboot, ive tried creating a .keep file but it didnt prevent the dir from disappearing, although i now realize the .keep file is to prevent emerge from deleting it, anyways i have no clue why a dir created in / should disappear upon reboot. Im open to suggestions. Ive never seen this before with Redhat or Gentoo 1.2 |

Well i have no clue what took care of it, i changed the dump/pass setting in fstab for / to 1 1 and i created the folder again and put a file in it, when i rebooted it kept the dir with no problems and any subsequent dirs i created in /. so uh thx for the help you would have given me. |
