I saw another strange message from my dmesg output:
Code: |
SIS5513: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
|
I'm using SiS 5513 IDE chipset, and it is compiled inside the kernel.
Can somebody explain that dmesg line, please? _________________ CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo

It means that you do not have an exact driver for that particular IDE interface.
Apart from the Intel PIIX4 hardware, almost nothing is an exact match - don't worry about it.
As long as you included "generic IDE support" in the kernel you have all the support the kernel has to offer. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
