Ok, fine, I'm uninstalling KDE when I get home.
Can you PM me with where you got the styles / background, etc?

Bbpager has a couple of default config files in /usr/share/bbtools, called bbpager.bb and bbpager.nobb. The .bb file is for use with Blackbox, the other without Blackbox. Just copy the appropriate one to ~/.bbtools, and edit it to get it setup the way you want. |

Thanks for telling me about iDesk! My faith in fluxbox has been restored! Screenie at http://tactless.deviantart.com
(BTW, made the theme myself. I really need to get a gkrellm theme to match) _________________ Tactless

You the Man.
By the way, I found some nice icons to use with iDesk at SunshineInABag thismorning ( it's a Gnome2 theme site )... but it seems to have closed down between leaving my house this morning and arriving at work!!

yo, past what you get whey you do sensors, I think i can get it to work on a second CPU but you will need to run 2 different binayrs, the one that sees the cpu1 and then the one i have to edit the code to to pic up you second cpu. so you will have wmgtemp and wmgetemp2 (i think i know how to edit the scr for your second cpu , i had to do some editing to make it work with my computer.)
of if you wmgetemp to be a different color you have to edit the pic befor you compile it (mess with the color levels ) then when you compile you can have a different color. |

Couldn't see an ebuild for iDesk in the bugzilla, so I wrote one.
It's attached to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8508
It's my first attempt at an ebuild, and I know nothing about sed, so be kind.

Do I need to place the wm programs in xinitrc to get them loaded? Simply having them in the slitlist file doesn't seem to accomplish much. |

For reference, here is my .xinitrc:
Code: | bsetbg -full ~/.background-pic
idesk &
xscreensaver -nosplash &
wmWeather -s YSSY &
wmcpuload &
wmsysmon &
wmxmms &
wmmemmon &
wmnet -w &
bbpager -w &
fluxbox |
So, as you can see, I load all my dock applets in the .xinitrc, and then fire up flux and bbpager.

Thanks, I decided to go with gkrellm though Looks pretty sweet. Running Flux as Window Manager and trying to get everything setup just the way I like... |

According to a "qpkg -fp libstdc++" on my machine, that should be in either sys-libs/lib-compat. However, the contents of libcompat are:
Code: |
bash-2.05a# qpkg -l lib-compat
sys-libs/lib-compat-1.0-r2 *
CONTENTS:
/usr
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/libc.so.5
/usr/lib/libg++.so.2.7.2.8
/usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.7.2.8
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8.0
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8 -> libstdc++.so.2.8.0
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.7.2 -> libstdc++.so.2.7.2.8
/usr/lib/libg++.so.2.7.2 -> libg++.so.2.7.2.8
|
Of course, I'm running GCC 2.95, and not 3.2. You said that you upgraded from 1.2 to 1.4rc1? Have you tried recompiling idesk? That could be the problem right there. |

I've been trying to get idesk to work, but unfortunately the site (dramamine.darktech.org) isn't accessible. Go figure, as soon as I download the tarball, and get an example .idesktrc file, the site disappears lol!
What I'm having problems with is the .idesktop directory files. Can someone post an example of one of the files? I don't have any access, and the one I made only displays an icon, and does nothing more.
I made a simple one for Open Office, but I don't know how to do anything more than this:
OpenOffice.lnk contents:
table Icon
Icon: /home/arkane/ooo_office.png
X: 54
Y: 15
end
Since I don't have access to the examples, I'm shot. |

I have made a bash script that can be executed fom a gnome launcher or menu,
Code: |
#!/bin/bash
sleep 2
count=`cat /home/kappax/.sscount`
let count=$count+1
import -window root /home/kappax/screenshots/ss$count.png
echo -e $count > /home/kappax/.sscount
CHECK=`mount | grep home | grep @ | awk '{print $2}'`
if test "$CHECK" = "on"
then
cp -u -R /home/kappax/screenshots /home/kappax/kappax\@yellowk/public_html/
fi
|
you will need to edit to fit your needs, i have it put my screenshots on my webserver, so some of that is just for that |
