|

"emerge kde" isn't finishing for me. It exits with an error that I'm clueless on:
# emerge kde
...
>>> emerge media-libs/libgpio-20010607 to /
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking libgpio-cvs-20010607.tar.bz2
cat: /usr/portage/distfiles/libgpio-cvs-20010607.tar.bz2: No such file or directory
<a bunch of errors follow that look to be due to the missing file>
I don't see any files named *libgpio* in the ftp tree at ibiblio.org, or I'd have grabbed it manually. The .bz2 file isn't on my hard drive. I haven't had any problems downloading any other files. Repeating the "emerge kde" command gives the same results each time, as does "emerge libgpio".
I do see libgpio listed at http://gentoo.org/index-packages.html, so it appears to be a legit package. I didn't notice anything about this in the forums, but maybe I'm just not reading closely.
Any suggestions for a clueless noob? Thanks. |

i just found out, that libgpio is required by gphoto2. if you turn off the use flag for gphoto2 emerge won't list it as a dependency.
this is no fix off course. |

Nonetheless, I can finish building KDE that way. I can do without gphoto2 for now. Thanks very much for the tip! |
