My new kernel (2.4.25 gentoo sources)
could not bring up my system because it has no
complied with devfs.
But i cannot find this option when make menuconfig.
Where is it ?

Ok, let's see if this does the trick:

#cd /usr/src/linux
#make menuconfig
|
First thing you do now is to Enable:
Code maturity level options --->
[*] Prompt for development and/or incomplete code/drivers
Then you go to:
File systems --->
and Enable:
[*] /dev file system support (EXPERIMENTAL)
[*] Automatically mount at boot
Save the config and recompile the kernel and stuff! |
