Hi all,
I tried out arts and wanted to unmerge it as I was not so pleased with it.
So I did
Code: | emerge arts unmerge |
and everytime I do
I get
Code: | [ebuild N ] kde-base/arts-1.2.1 |
How do I get this out of there? There is nothing arts-like in both
/var/cache/edb/virtuals
and
/var/cache/edb/world
Another, more important, thing is that mplayer does not work anymore.
gives me
Code: | mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libartsc.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
I never made any changes to mplayer when arts was installed. But now it does not work anymore without arts. How do get this working again?
TIA |

I don't know for sure, but is arts in your USE flags? I'm not even sure it is a USE flag, but is never hurts to check. |

arts IS a use flag. Setting +alsa and -arts in make.conf's uses flags and reemerging mplayer solved both .
Thank you Vulpes_Vulpes! |
