VMware won't give network

I installed VMware Workstation as described in the manual. At first everything was OK until I had to reboot. After rebooting I went to the promt, became root with su and tried to start the Workstation. No success, I had to manually load "modprobe vmmon" and "modprobe vmnet" to get the Workstation to boot. After that I could get into Windows but no networking through NAT.
Anybody knows what went wrong? In former installs I became root, typed in "/usr/bin/vmware start" and I saw the network came up but now....

Did you try "/etc/init.d/vmware start"? If that works you should try using "rc-update add vmware default" to get it to restart on reboot
