Dal kernel 2.6.4 non riesco più ad avere il bootsplash durante il boot (adesso sto usando 2.6.5-r1 gentoo-dev-sources) ma compare all'avvio del servizio | Code: | | /etc/init.d/bootsplash |
Ho controllato e ricontrollato il kernel e le varie impostazioni seguendo le guide presenti nel forum e su www.gentoo.it ma niente da fare 
addirittura se uso come tema livecd-2004.1 ottendo questo all'avvio del servizio: | Code: | bootsplash: status on console 0 changed to on

switcho da una console all'altra e tutto torna normale
qualche idea???
PS: con un tema più "semplice" tipo Linux all'avvio del servizio non ottengo nessun errore, inoltre con le stesse impostazioni di grub e kernel con il 2.6.3 il bootsplash funzionava alla perfezione

Una parte di avvisi sono colpa di qualche opzione di debug del kernel.

Direi che si tratta di un crash più che di un messaggio di debug 
Cmq rimane il fatto che non riesco ad avere il bootsplash nella fase di boot e nel dmesg non trovo alcun messaggio di errore che possa indirizzare la mia attenzione
Qualcuno utilizza con successo il kernel 2.6.5 con bootsplash all'avvio (initrd)?

/me alza la mano...
per carita' l'ho usato su un portatile, quindi ho fatto tutto con genkernel perche' non volevo impazzire dietro ai moduli...

Io sia su 2.6.5 che 2.6.5-r1 della gentoo funziona perfettamente.

Facendo l'ennesima prova ma questa volta utilizzando un kernel liscio con la sola patch per il bootsplash, noto:

(Processor type and features -> Use register arguments) option enabled. |
Nooooooooo non avendo mai utilizzato prima lo script bootsplash_patch non avevo mai notato questo avvertimento 
Adesso funzia, pork... mi era proprio sfuggita questa cosa (anche se in uno dei tanti post che ho letto era citata questa opzione anche se il problema era un altro)
