I'm interested to see what proportion of gentoo users are on laptops. Thus far out of fedora, redhat enterprise and gentoo, I have had the best luck with Gentoo. (and hooray for laptop-mode being accepted into the 2.6.6 kernel)

EDIT: Since I can't add a third option 'both' now, just vote for whichever you do the most 'personal' work on, i.e. non-server work or document editing etc.

EDIT: Interesting results. I had predicted that laptop users maybe made up 10% of the gentoo community but it looks far closer to 30%...

But then the only laptop I have is not actually mine but a work one. Therefore I'm limited in what I can do to it ;-)

If I had one I'd try it out....

I use it only on my Desktop at the moment. Sooner or later I'll add it to my laptop.

Laptop and I love it. I hardly use my desktop anymore, it's mostly my CS addiction that even keeps that beast alive. Once I get a new T41 with a bigger screen, I think I'll never need to boot the tower again.

I have a gentoo only system on my desktop. My laptop has debian and Windows2000 (I must have VS .NET for college). I wish laptop hdd's were cheaper so I could fit gentoo onto that tiny 5 gig drive

neither

I have Debian on my desktop, thinking putting Fedora Core 2 on it when it hits final.

The Laptop isn't in use right now, but I think there's a Gentoo partition on it somewhere.

I use it on all of my computers, none of them have Windows installed. That includes my main desktop, my laptop, a fileserver in my dorm, and another computer I have at home.

Why didn't you include a "both" option in your poll?
