wine install.exe --opengl doesn't even start the App just says that
it shows this
vlad@singer cd $ wine install.exe -opengl
Warning: the --debugmsg option is deprecated. You should use
the WINEDEBUG environment variable instead, like this:
WINEDEBUG=-all wine ...
Unknown option '-opengl'
Wine 20040408
Usage: wine [options] [--] program_name [arguments]
The -- has to be used if you specify arguments (of the program)
Options:
--debugmsg name Turn debugging-messages on or off
--help,-h Show this help message
--version,-v Display the Wine version
vlad@singer cd $
So any ideas now? |

I think warcraft is Direct3D, not opengl. You should try winex.
wine probably don't support direct3d.so your game will never work.
For your problem, i don't know. |

warcraft works fine using opengl, the problem does not lie with warcraft, it lies with wine.
problem is the wine devs have a strange addiction to breaking things, if you get something working under wine, you should mage an image of your hdd before upgrading wine, id say it is a 1 in 3 chance that your progrs wont work anymore;).
so just hang back and wait for the next wine release:) |

I am getting the same error and it's my first attempt at putting together wc3 and wine so I thought it was just me. Well, my hope has gone out the window. So, are we saying that the current version of wine does not play wc3? |
